Trends are changing, but genuine style is everlasting. Hungaria sparkling wines are manufactured exclusively from carefully selected grapes. During the sparkling wine making process, we keep to more careful manufacturing methods characteristic of small batch products, and at the same time, we aim to meet all requirements of large batch production as well. One of the most important values of the brand is the ability to renew itself, which ability comes across during production as well, so that our customers could enjoy a truly unique and thoroughly high quality sparkling wine.
Hungaria uses only special and unique technologies, the majority of our products are made by Méthode Transvasée. Although this method is quite laboursome, it is highly successful, since this procedure ensures that the sparkling wine contained in each and every bottle is of the same quality. That makes it possible for you to enjoy the same refreshing sparkling wine experience every time.
The production of sparkling wine requires wine that is entirely healthy, light, has a clean taste, a fine aroma and a light bouquet, and is always of identical quality and composition. Such wine is produced by blending. This wine is called base wine or cuvée. Base wines of Hungaria sparkling wines are mainly from the vineyards of the Etyek and Pázmánd area. Tirage liqueur and yeast are added to the base wine before it is filled into 1.5 litre magnum bottles. The base wine is fermented for 2-3 months. Then it is aged on the sediment in bottles for a much longer time, up to 1 or 1.5 years even.
After emptying the fermented sparkling wine into a sealed, cooled and pressurized tank, the sugar content is adjusted by adding expedition liqueur. The sediment is removed by filtering and the sparkling wine is rebottled into Hungaria distribution bottles. The bottles are closed with corks and wirehoods, then labelled and finally packaged.

The most recent one of next generation sweet sparkling wines, the Hungaria Sweet Style was intreduced 2016 to the public. Our new effort to manufacture sparkling wines using Méthode Asti as well proves that our brand is dedicated to innovations. This technology originates from Italy, and it entails fermenting sparkling wine directly from aromatic muscat grape juice. The result is a beverage that not only does preserve the essential and primary aroma of the grapes, but also has a lower alcohol content that complies with modern trends.
